Senior DevOps Engineer – Analytics Cloud Platform (m/f/d)

Position Overview:

CASE Deutschland GmbH is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the Analytics Cloud Platform, supporting our cutting-edge data analytics and machine learning solutions. Your expertise in cloud technologies, automation, and DevOps best practices will be essential in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our analytics platform.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain the Analytics Cloud Platform, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security of the infrastructure.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for deploying analytics applications, enabling rapid iteration and release cycles.
• Drive the automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and orchestration using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to enhance the platform’s efficiency and responsiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, application deployment, and data pipelines in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and software engineers to integrate analytics tools and frameworks into the platform.
• Implement and maintain robust security practices to safeguard sensitive data and maintain compliance standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and analytics technologies.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior members of the DevOps team, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on cloud-based infrastructure and analytics platforms.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and more.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI) and version control systems (Git).
• In-depth knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and tooling.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure system health and performance.
• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices in a cloud environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Experience in agile methodologies and a passion for keeping up with technological advancements.
